In Recognition of His Contribution to Adventure Tourism in Russia
The awards were presented at a gala ceremony held at the Oktyabr Cinema, according to RATA News. More than one hundred nominees were recognized across 18 categories, with over 5,000 people taking part in the voting.
“The award was made possible thanks to our community of partners, with whom we have been creating and improving travel products for many years—and have personally covered hundreds of kilometers of routes. And, of course, thanks to the entire RussiaDiscovery team, where, I’m sure, many can say that tourism is their life’s work as well. Thank you, colleagues!” said Vadim Mamontov.
The award was established by the Russian Union of Travel Industry (RST) to mark its 30th anniversary, with this year’s ceremony held for the first time. According to the organizers, the prize is presented for outstanding achievements in tourism and hospitality.
