Experiences you'll have

The journey will be in a small group of up to 12 people – a great option for a first visit to Kamchatka. The program includes the essential activities that every guest of the fiery land must try, and the must-see locations of the peninsula. You will not only see the region's signature sights but also sample dishes made from local produce and, of course, taste Kamchatka crab.

We have taken care of your comfort: all transfers are organized in specially prepared off-road vehicles – Jeeps or Mitsubishi Delicas. While the Delica resembles a minibus in appearance, it is a full-fledged 4WD off-road vehicle, well-proven in local conditions.

Please note: if the group has fewer than 6 people, the rafting and boat trip are organized jointly with other tourist groups.

Price for the tour can be increased depending on the number of tourists in the group. For details, please contact our managers.

Itinerary

The journey begins in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, which you need to reach independently on the first day of the program.

The itinerary may change. The route may be adjusted due to weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances.

Day 1 Arrival in Kamchatka

At the airport, you will be met by a driver holding a RussiaDiscovery sign who will take you to the hotel complex located in the Paratunka resort area. On the way, you will stop at the "Bears" monument, better known as "Here Russia Begins." It is located at a viewpoint with a panorama of three volcanoes — Avachinsky, Koryaksky, and Kozelsky — in the background.

Upon arrival, you will check into the hotel after 3:00 PM. If you arrive early, you can leave your luggage at the reception, have lunch on your own at one of the complex's restaurants, or visit the swimming pool.

Day 2 Dachnye Hot Springs at the foot of Mutnovsky Volcano

After breakfast, you will head to the Southern group of volcanoes.

The route starts from the Vilyuchinsky Pass, which offers a view of the volcano of the same name. If the weather is clear, you can take photos of the surrounding panoramas as a memento.

The next stop is the Mutnovskaya Geothermal Power Station (40 minutes from the pass). The hiking route to the Dachnye hot springs at the foot of Mutnovsky Volcano begins from the station (about 2 hours of easy trekking with descents and ascents).

After the trek, you will have a picnic with hot tea. If the weather is good and the trail is safe, a visit to the Snow Leopard Waterfall is planned. For this, you will need to return to the starting point of the route (30 minutes) and hike for about an hour.

Upon returning to the hotel, you will have dinner (for an additional fee).

Day 3 Boat Trip to Russkaya Bay

Today, you will have an early breakfast and transfer to the seaport of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky (about an hour). Breakfast will be provided as a packed meal (which you can pick up at the reception).

You will set off on a sea boat to the Russkaya Bay area. While passing through Avacha Bay, you will see the symbol of Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky — the Three Brothers Rocks. If you're lucky, you might spot seals, whales, and orcas. If not, don't worry — ahead lies Starichkov Island, where thousands of seabirds nest: ancient murrelets, tufted puffins, cormorants, and guillemots. The final point of the route will be Cape Kekurny, with its seasonal Steller sea lion rookery.

If you wish, you can go fishing and catch pollock, sea bass, greenling, and flounder. The chef will prepare your catch for you.

The boat trip will last 10 hours. In the evening, you will return to the hotel and have dinner on your own.

Please note: for groups of up to 6 people, the boat trip will be conducted with other tourists. For groups of 6 or more, you will go to sea on a boat chartered exclusively for your group.

Day 4 Trekking near Avachinsky Volcano and Khalaktyrsky Beach

After breakfast, you will travel in a 4x4 vehicle along the bed of the Sukhaya River to the active Avachinsky and Koryaksky volcanoes, reaching the Avachinsky Pass (2 hours). You will ascend Mount Camel with a relative height of about 250 meters and walk along the volcanic ridges.

Mount Camel is a volcanic dome at the foot of Avachinsky and Koryaksky volcanoes. This natural monument got its name due to its shape, which resembles two camel humps. From the top of the mountain, you will enjoy a magnificent view of Avachinsky and Koryaksky volcanoes, as well as the famous Nalychevo Valley.

After the walk, you will have lunch at a mountain canteen and head to Khalaktyrsky Beach. This is a 50-kilometer stretch of Pacific Ocean coast covered in black volcanic sand. From here, you can see a panoramic view of Kamchatka's "home" volcanoes—Koryaksky, Avachinsky, and Kozelsky.

Dinner will be at the hotel restaurant (for an additional fee).

Day 5 Free Day

Today, you can relax in your hotel's spa area (for an additional fee), walk around the hotel complex grounds, or go on one of the helicopter tours.

Day 6 Rafting and Fishing

After breakfast (if departing early, the hotel restaurant will provide a packed breakfast), you will head north to the Bystraya River (about 2 hours drive).

After a safety briefing, you will begin rafting on an inflatable raft. The rafting will last about 3 hours, with a guide steering the raft while you relax and fish. If you're lucky, you might spot bears during the trip, as they hunt for spawning fish.

Upon returning to the hotel, you will have dinner on your own.

Please note: for groups of fewer than 6 people, the rafting will be conducted as part of a combined group. Transfers to and from the starting point of the route will be organized individually for you with your guide.

Day 7 Ascent of Gorely Volcano

Today, you will travel in a 4x4 vehicle to the foot of Gorely Volcano (2–3 hours drive).

Afterward, you will ascend Gorely Volcano (1,829 meters). The trek will take about 5 hours (3 hours up and about 2 hours down), but the climb is not difficult. You will walk along frozen lava flows and slag fields, and explore three craters with glacial lakes. A snack break will be held with views of Vilyuchinsky and Mutnovsky volcanoes.

In the evening, you will transfer to the Paratunka resort area and check into a lodge with a thermal pool, where you will have dinner (for an additional fee).

Day 8 Departure

After breakfast, you will be taken to the fish market. You can buy red fish, caviar, and crabs. Then, you will be transferred to the airport for your flight home.
