Experiences you'll have
Helicopter expedition is the fastest and the most affordable way to get to the North pole. Unlike the 13-days cruise by the nuclear icebreaker, this tour will let you reach the top of the world in just 6 days.
Taking off from Khatanga, Russia, by the AN-74 aircraft, you will land on the A.N. Chilingarov ice base, located on a drifting ice floe near the North Pole. You will get a chance to learn all about the North Pole firsthand: meet with scientists working at the polar station and see in what conditions the Arctic expeditions are held. You will spend a day like a real polar explorer. The next day you will fly to the North Pole by Mi-8 helicopter
Taking inro account the short duration of the spring season, you will be the first tourists to reach the top of the world in 2026. Expedition is expected to be held in April 2026.
We kindly ask you to take into account that due to fluctuations in the currency exchange rate we reserve the right to revise the rates in the event of significant market fluctuations.
Please note that a 5% bank transfer fee will be added to the total cost.

Itinerary
The journey begins in Krasnoyarsk, Russia, where you should travel to on your own. We are ready to help you with tickets purchase. If necessary, leave a comment in the application.
Note: the Arctic ocean is one of the most unpredictable and unfriendly places on our planet. Therefore, the expedition dates as well as the program itself may change depending on weather, ice or other conditions.
We strongly recommend you to leave 2-3 additional days before and after the trip and to take out an insurance against the impossibility of full or partial participation in the expedition.

Day 1 Arrival to Krasnoyarsk, Russia
Today you will arrive in Krasnoyarsk, the largest city in Eastern Siberia. After meeting at the airport, you will be transferred to your chosen hotel.
You can spend the rest of the day at your leisure: take a walk around the city, visit local museums and parks.
You will spend the night at the hotel. The hotel, meals, and all activities on this day are paid separately.
Day 2 Airflight to Khatanga, Russia
In the morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and taken to the airport. You will have a flight on an AN-74 aircraft to Khatanga — one of the northernmost settlements in Russia (3.5 hours travel time).
Upon arrival, you will check into the hotel and have lunch, after which you will depart for an excursion to the Mammoth Museum, located in a cave within layers of permafrost.
In the evening, you will return to the hotel for dinner.
Day 3 Ice base and North Pole
In the morning, you will have a transfer from the hotel to the airport, followed by a 5-hour flight to the A.N. Chilingarov ice base, located on a drifting ice floe at 89 degrees north latitude. Every year, a runway is built here and the ice base is established, operating for only one month annually.
For refueling, you will make a stop at Cape Baranov on Bolshevik Island — the second largest island of the Severnaya Zemlya archipelago. Upon arrival at the base, you will settle into spacious, comfortable tents and have lunch.
Afterwards, you will have free time to explore the unique aspects of life at an expedition base. You will have the opportunity to interact with scientists and observe Arctic research activities.
Then, if weather permits, you will depart on a Mi-8 helicopter to the vicinity of the geographic North Pole (40-minute flight). Using GPS devices, you will determine the exact point where all meridians converge, and a commemorative marker will be erected there. You will spend 1–2 hours in the area of the North Pole.
In the evening, you will return by helicopter to the base, where you will have dinner after an eventful day and spend the night in spacious, heated tents.
Day 4 Free day at the Ice Base
After breakfast, you will have free time at your disposal. If you wish, you can take a short cross-country skiing route in the vicinity of the base (skis will be provided) or take a plunge in an ice pool (a polynya) in the waters of the Arctic Ocean.
Lunch and dinner on this day will be served at the base.
Day 5 Return flight to Khatanga
After breakfast, you will have a return flight on an Antonov An-74 aircraft to Khatanga (5 hours), where you will check into a hotel and have dinner.
