Yakutia is the most remote northern region of the Far East. In winter, along with the fabulous northern nature, you can see her Majesty the Northern Lights here! You don't have to go far to get it – it's here, not far from you.
The proposed tourist route invites you to plunge into the world of people living on the Arctic tundra, see their identity, culture, and get acquainted with the traditions and customs of the northerners.
You can see the Aurora in Yakutia for eight months of the year, and it shows its color representations here in Yakutia as well as in other countries of the North. Our region stands out from others with its virginity and naturalness – everything is real here!
During the tour, you will have four whole days to hunt for Aurora.
Along the route, you will visit the capital of the Republic of Sakha Yakutia, the city of Yakutsk, the center of the Ust-Yansky district, the village of Deputatsky, Lena Pillars and get acquainted with the way of life, culture and traditions of the indigenous peoples of the North.

Itinerary
The journey begins in Yakutsk, where you should travel to on your own. We are ready to assist with the purchase of tickets. If necessary, leave a comment in the application.
Day 1 Welcome to Yakutsk
You will be met at the airport of Yakutsk and taken to the hotel.
Then you will have dinner at the "Mus Khaia" restraunt. After dinner, you will be taken to the city tour across evening Yakutsk.
After the city tour, you will come back to the hotel and rest.
Day 2 Northern lights
After breakfast you will go on the guided tour to the Kingdom of the Eternal Frost.
You will have a lunch in one of the city cafes, and then you will be trasferred to the airport.
In the afternoon you will have a flight from Yakutsk to Deputatsky. Upon arrival, there will be a meeting ceremony. Then, you will go to the guesthouse.
In the evening you will have dinner and go to the Northern lights hunting afterwards.
Day 3 Tour of the Deputatsky
You will have breakfast at the guesthouse.
After breakfast, excursion to the House of Culture of the village of Deputatsky awaits you!
You will have lunch at the House of Culture with tastings of dishes of Northern cuisine and visit to a comprehensive school. Here, you will see how the educational process takes place in the Arctic.
Also, you will visit the School of Arts with a concert program and participate in a bone carving workshop (unique works by Northern craftsmen).
After a long day, you will have dinner at the guesthouse.
In the evening, you will take part in the hunting for the Northern lights with a trip outside the village!
Day 4 Visiting the reindeer herders of the Arctic
You will have breakfast at the guesthouse.
After breakfast, you will departure to reindeer herd. The reindeer herd is located 20 kilometers from the village. Transfer 15 kilometers by road, 5 kilometers by snowmobile sleds.
There, you will have lunch with reindeer herders (reindeer herders' kitchen: deer meat and northern fish). During lunch, the hosts will tell you about their life and work in the reindeer herd.
After lunch, you will have an excursion to the reindeer herd.
Then, you will departure to Deputatsky with stops for photographing.
After a long day, you will have dinner at the guesthouse.
In the evening, you will take part in the hunting for the Northern lights with a trip outside the village!
Day 5 Swimming where the Northern lights are born
After breakfast at the guesthouse, you will departure to tundra.
Upon arrival at the place, you will have time for photographing and experiments with the cold. Lunch snack on the way will be prepared for you.
After your return, you will have early dinner at the guesthouse.
Then, there will be an excursion to the local swimming pool.
In the evening, you will take part in the hunting for the Northern lights with a trip outside the settlement!
Day 6 Irgichan River
You will have breakfast at the guesthouse.
Then you will departure to the Irgichan River. At this time, the transparent ice of the Irgichan River, exposed by the spring winds, creates a unique picture.
After some time on the river, you will return to the hotel and have lunch.
Then, there will be a transfer to the airport for a flight to Yakutsk.
Upon arrival, transfer to the city and dinner in one of the city's cafes.
After the long day, you will have dinner and relax at the hotel.
Day 7 Lena Pillars
In the morning, you will have an early breakfast at the hotel.
At 08.00 there will be departure to Lena Pillars (travel time - around 3.5 hours). On the way you will have stops at the Emegettekh rock paintings.
Upon arrival, you will have lunch at the Lena Pillars restaurant (with panoramic view).
Afterwards, there you will cross the Lena and arrive at the Lena Pillars.
The excursion begins with a 2.8 km long trail. The trail gradually rises to the top of the Lena Pillars rocks. The height of the climbing is 225 meters.
After the descent, departure to the Petrovskie Pisanitsy (the most famous rock paintings of the Lena River). You will have dinner at the Lena Pillars restaurant.
In the late evening, you will return to Yakutsk.
Day 8 Flight home
This is the final day of the program. You wll have early breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport for a flight home.

In Yakutsk, you will stay in the hotel "Azimut".
It is located in the center of Yakutsk. You will stay in standard double rooms with a double or two single beds. Each room has a TV, air conditioning, tea station, safe, hairdryer and refrigerator.
On the hotel grounds: restaurant, swimming pool, gym. Wi-Fi is available.
In Deputatsky, you will stay in apartment-type guest house.
Common questions
One guide and one driver accompany a group of tourists. Instructors with great experience will help traverse the route safely and comfortably. They are ready for any unexpected situation: they finished first aid Red Cross courses. The guide has a satellite phone for communication with the Emergency department in case of force majeure, as well as a first aid kit with necessary medicines.
The cost of the tour includes three meals per day, except for lunches and dinners in Yakutsk restaurants (guests order from the menu and pay for themselves, +25-35 EURO per person for lunch/dinner). There are also light snacks during long journeys (hot tea and coffee, sandwiches with cheese/sausage/fish, fruit, sweets).
Also, meals on Lena Pillars are not included in the price.
If you are a vegetarian, please inform the manager when booking the tour.
There are frosts from -30 to -40°C in Yakutsk, and extremely low temperatures up to -55°C may occur in Deputatsky. As a rule, there are no strong winds, the weather is usually sunny.
Taking into account the severe weather conditions, the travel route is composed in such a way that you will not have to spend a lot of time outside. You will always have a car nearby, where you can warm up and drink hot tea or coffee. After climbing the Lena pillars, you can warm up and have lunch in a warm cafe.
All transfers along the route will be organized on a comfortable Toyota Hiace minibus (with capacity of 11 people).
Mobile communication will only be available while your staying at the towns and villages. In Yakutsk, there is mobile Internet and Wi-Fi in the hotel.
