Itinerary

The journey begins in Murmansk, where you should get to on your own on the first day of the program. The meeting will take place at the airport at 11:00 AM. If you arrive in Murmansk the day before, please let us know which hotel you are staying at so that we can pick you up.

We are ready to help with the purchase of tickets, if necessary, leave a comment in the application.

The tour program may change depending on weather conditions.

Day 1 Excursion to Teriberka

After meeting at the airport or hotel, the whole group will head to a hypermarket – you will have a snack on your own before the long journey to Teriberka, so as not to waste short daylight hours on lunch in a restaurant. Then, a minibus will take you to the coast of the Barents Sea (a 3-hour journey). Along the way, you will enjoy colorful tundra landscapes and granite rocks at the entrance to Teriberka.

You will check into the hotel and then immediately go on a tour of the abandoned part of Teriberka. You will see the long-deserted school, swing on huge seaside swings, stroll along the sandy beach, approach the ship washed ashore, and discover the famous graveyard of ships. You will also visit a small park featuring reindeer and huskies, where you can feed and pet them if you wish.

In the evening, you will return to the hotel, dine at the restaurant, and relax after a busy day. If the weather is good, you can hunt for the Northern Lights while strolling around the area.

If you are unable to reach Teriberka on the first day of the winter trip due to snowdrifts, an alternative excursion program and accommodation in Murmansk await you. You will head to Teriberka on the second day, where a hiking tour and a sea outing will be organized for you, and in the evening, you will return to Murmansk.

Day 2 Whale Photo Hunt

After breakfast at the hotel, you will head to the pier. There, the ship's captain will greet you and provide instructions. You will sail into the waters of the ice-free Barents Sea in search of whales and other marine mammals. Along the way, you will encounter coastal landscapes and fjords. In clear weather, you might even catch sight of the sun just above the horizon: at this time of year in the Arctic, it rises very low.

The sea voyage will last for 2 hours. The ship has heated cabins and restroom facilities. You can both watch the sea from the deck and relax in the warmth indoors.

We cannot guarantee encounters with wild animals, as nature operates according to its own laws. However, we will do everything possible to give you the opportunity to see marine creatures in their natural habitat.

Afterward, you will go for a walk along the sea, to the outskirts of Teriberka (either on foot or, if there is snow, by snowmobile sleds). Along the route, you will see the fantastic Dragon Eggs Beach, the waterfall of Maloye Batareyskoye Lake, and a vast bird colony. Your guide will share many stories about these places along the way.

Lunch will be served at a restaurant on the shore (additional charge). Then you will be transported to a glamping site near Murmansk, where you will settle in and have dinner at a dome restaurant. Afterward, you can enjoy hunting for the Northern Lights (for up to 3 hours).

Near the glamping site, you can take a nature walk. If the sky continues to shine at night, you can admire it from your panoramic window.

Day 3 Walk around Murmansk and Icebreaker Lenin

After breakfast at the glamping site, you will embark on a sightseeing tour of Murmansk. You will learn more about the city's history, visit the monument to the defenders of the Soviet Arctic, and see the famous icebreaker Lenin. The excursion to the icebreaker can also be organized in the evening – please consider this when planning your return flight.

Lunch will be served at a restaurant in Murmansk (additional charge).

In the evening, you will head to the airport for flights departing after 8:00 PM.
