"Better than mountains can be only the mountains you have not conquered" - the famous Russian bard singer Vladimir Vysotsky once wrote.
The Caucasus is the mountainous area extending from the north-west shore of Black sea to the south-east coast of the Caspian Sea, with the highest summit - magnificent snow-capped Elbrus, the highest peak of Europe and Russia (5642 meters), one of the 7 summits. In the local dialect, Elbrus stands for “Mingi-Tau” – “Similar to a thousand mountains”.
Though it might sound unusual, the ascent to Elbrus is rather safe and easy. It is open to all travellers with good physical fitness, without previous climbing experience. The thing you really need is your willingness to get away from the fuss of everyday life, and persistance.
Overcome all challenges and experience the absolute freedom standing on the top of the majestic Elbrus!
