- By snowmobiles in the north of Europe’s largest lake –

The Ladoga lake is the largest lake in Europe. Our snowmobile adventure will run in the area north off the Ladoga lake. On the way we will snowmobile in the forest and on the ice of the frozen lakes, we will visit Tolvojarvi nature reserve, the so-called marble lake Yanisjarvi, and pass through old Karelian villages.

Group size: 6 persons (1 pax on snowmobile) and 12 persons (2 pax on snowmobile)
Requirements: only for snowmobilers with experience
Day 1
5.30 am (7.30 am) – arrival by night train in Lodeynoe Pole from Moscow, meeting at the railway station. Transfer to Kukshegory village located on the shore of Lake Vekkoylayarvi (90 km), to Umostu cottages. 8.00 - Breakfast.
10.00 Safety briefing, outfitting, getting equipped and instructed in snowmobile driving. Set off for the snowmobile adventure (110 km) along forest roads and snowmobile tracks across the snow of the lakes. Route: Kukshegory village to Ninisel’ga village and further along the route: Varlov les village - Kinerma village – Yurgilitsa village – Lake Shotozero - Lake Syamozero. Enjoy the harmony of nature and settlements, the peacefulness of the land. Lunch on the way.
Kinerma, a small 440 years old village, is a modest monument of traditional wooden architecture of the Karelian livvik ethnic group. The wooden houses and chapel, unhurried lifestyle of the villages make an impression of time standing still here.
7 pm – arrive at Lake Syamozero, accommodation in the guesthouse in double rooms. Russian banya, dinner, overnight
Day 2
Breakfast. 10.00 Check out and start of the 2nd day of Karelia discovery, the most challenging day of our snowmobile safari (240 km in the forest and on the lakes). Route: Syamozero – Leppjaniemi – Suojarvi lake – Tolvojarvi lake, visit around the nature reserve Tolvojarvi – Yanisjarvi lake. Lunch on the way.
Check in at a comfortable guesthouse (double basis) in Yanisjarvi. Dinner, overnight
Day 3
Breakfast. 10.00 Start the last day of snowmobiling (110 km) along the forest roads and snowmobile tracks along the route: Yanisjarvi lake – Ruskeala, a scenic lake with marble rock shores, where marble was mined in Peter the Great’s times for St Petersburg palaces – Sortavala town on the shore of the Ladoga lake. Lunch on the way.
4 pm Arrival in Sortavala, early dinner in a cafe. 4.30 Transfer to the railway station Lodeynoe Pole for departure by overnight train to Moscow at 22.00
