Activities in the itinerary
All our activity tours have an element of discovery of the nature, people, history, Russia and the region. The activities en route can include snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, off-road and ATV rides, biking, whitewater rafting, horse-riding, boating, angling, or combination of those.
In addition to regular tours, RussiaDiscovery runs special adventure initiatives and projects in Russia. We are particularly proud of being the organizers of expeditions Hyperborea and The Emperor’s Way in Karelia, trophies Lapland and Arctic Raid on Kola Peninsula, and annual international snowmobile race OpenKarelia.
Our equipment and staff
RussiaDiscovery has 36 permanent full-time employees. Our staff are either based in the regions and have done thousands kilometers in the field or have relevant education and working experience and undertook a training program on the destinations we offer in Russia. They are there to assist you, so please do not hesitate to call, e-mail or come.
Our technical resources are comprised of more than 40 technical units for activity and adventure tours (Polaris snowmobiles and ATV-s, Russian jeeps trophy-type and accompanying off-road cars, inflatable C-class motor boats, etc) and other up-to-date equipment, gear and outfit for active travel.

We use all the resources available - our own material and technical basis and qualified staff, reliable partners and original itineraries - to provide high quality travel. RussiaDiscovery has won many tourism industry awards for the level of service and interesting travel itineraries in the regions.
We attach importance to quality and small pleasure of comfort in adventure travel. We have cooking and luggage transportation services on biking and trekking tours, arrange accommodation in comfortable heated huts in winter and cosy guest houses or quality tents in summer.
- Safety
To ensure the safety of our tourists, we study in detail newly developed itineraries and have multiple tests before offering a new tour, regularly run thorough gear and equipment checks, and keep the professionalism of the nature guides up-to-date. We provide all our tourists with obligatory medical and accident insurance. In case of emergencies, we closely cooperate with the regional rescue teams of the Ministry of force-majeure situations.
